Since cell towers are necessary to be erected so telecom companies have started on this trend of leasing the money in lieu of the space of setting up the cell phone tower. Of course it is impossible to buy all the building just to set up multiple number of cell towers, the company may go bankrupt while doing so. So the concept of cell tower leasing enables them to set up towers and pay the definite amount of the lease.

While it is very feasible for telecom companies to have cell towers erected and pay the lease, there must be some benefit for the ones who lend the property too. Well there certainly is a benefit of gaining the extra income of lending the space of the property. So property which might be your own also becomes a source of some extra income by simply laying some space of your property to erect tower. The person who lays out the property must carefully examine the contract of the lease, the money, the provisions and terms and conditions. The carriers of the firm may be given permissions to visit the tower and examine it, but certain regulations as to using the property must apply. One has to ensure such things before lending out the space for the erection of the tower space. The time period of such contracts is generally 20 years or above.
